appear<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Doing keyword research on Google Ads is a little different from determining keywords for SEO.\u00a0In keyword research on Google Ads we use 4 parameters, which include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span>Broad Match Broad match<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>is the default match type that includes all keywords.\u00a0Ads may show on searches that include misspellings, synonyms, related searches and other relevant variations.\u00a0So if your keyword is \u201cwomen&#8217;s hats\u201d, someone who searches for \u201cbuy millinery\u201d may see your ad.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span>Broad Match Modifier<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>Similar to broad match, except that the broad match modifier option only shows ads in searches that include words indicated with a plus sign (+lady&#8217;s hats) or a close variation of it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span>Phrase Match<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>Ads may appear on searches that match a phrase, or a close variation of that phrase, with an additional word before or after it.\u00a0However, the ad will not show if any words are added to the middle of the phrase, or if the words in the phrase are rearranged in any way.\u00a0Indicated by quotation marks (\u201clady&#8217;s hat\u201d).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span>Exact Match<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>Ads may show on searches that match the exact term or a close variation of the exact term.\u00a0Close variants include searching for keywords that have the same meaning as the exact same keywords, regardless of spelling or grammatical differences between the query and those keywords.\u00a0Look-alike variations here may also include rearranging words if they do not change their meaning, and adding or removing function words (prepositions, conjunctions, articles and other words that do not affect the intent of the search), implied words, synonyms and paraphrases, and words -words that have the same search intent.\u00a0Shown in parentheses, the keyword [women&#8217;s hats] could appear when someone searches on Google for \u201chats for women.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>To distinguish between
