Twitter Direct Message (DM) is now equipped with a voice note feature. This feature provides a more varied user experience in sending messages.
Previously users could only send text and images. But now you can try sending voice notes (VN) to other users.
You can try the VN feature on Twitter DMs by pressing the purple sound wave icon. The small icon is available in the right corner of the message column. Users can record the sound they want by touching a button without holding it down.

How to Voice Note on Twitter DMs
Open a Twitter account on your phone
Click the message menu marked with a message sound icon in the lower right corner
Select the user’s contact to which you want to send the VN
Click the purple sound icon button to start recording sound
Record the sound you want
When finished recording click the “Send” icon
If you want to cancel, select “Cancel” on the left
Once sent you can replay the sent VN
Sent VNs can also be deleted, added reactions, or replied to.
