Microsoft Finally Presents Voice Feature for Bing Desktop Version

MICROSOFT  does have their own finder though which is Bing. This search engine is also equipped with artificial intelligence alias Artificial Intelligence (AI).

With this AI capital, Microsoft is now presenting a voice search feature on the Bing chatbot for the Edge web browser application. This feature can also be used on desktop devices that allow users to ask questions and get answers via voice.

Like the features available on the mobile version of Edge, users can activate the voice search feature by tapping the microphone button and saying a question in a clear voice and Bing will provide an answer via voice.

The Bing chatbot provides several language modes such as English, Japanese, French, German and Chinese. Microsoft says it will add new languages ​​in the future.

According to a report by The Verge on Saturday, the voice search feature introduced by the desktop version of the Bing chatbot comes alongside rumors that Microsoft will be closing its Cortana virtual assistant for Windows later this year.

Cortana features voice commands for creating reminders, opening apps, setting timers, and more. Microsoft is starting to direct its users to use Bing and the Copilot virtual assistant equipped with AI technology as a replacement for Cortana.

Microsoft is also soon expanding their AI chatbot service Bing to third-party browsers. Bing Chat will reportedly be available in three browsers, namely Chrome Firefox and Safari.

Previously, Microsoft announced that Bing was supported by AI ChatGPT developed by OpenAI. This immediately boosted its popularity in the global community. The names Bing and Edge continue to see significant increases, even in the App Store. Until now Bing is still available on Edge only.

Several reports from Reddit users recently stated that they can get the Microsoft chatbot in Google Chrome and Safari. This news was confirmed by the Head of the Advertising and Web Services Division of Microsoft, Mikhail Parakhin, as quoted from Gizchina.
