The reason I recommend Electrum is because this application has been around for a long time (2011) and has many features. <\/span>Electrum is also an\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>open source<\/span><\/span><\/em> application \u00a0so its security can be audited by third parties.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
Please visit the official website at\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>electrum.org\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em> then download the Electrum application. <\/span>This application is available for Linux, macOS and Windows. <\/span>Please choose according to the OS you are using.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
If so,\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>install\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em> this application. <\/span>Then open Electrum and follow these steps to create\u00a0 a <\/span>new Bitcoin <\/span><\/span>wallet\u00a0 :<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
The initial appearance of my Electrum may be a little different from yours because I have made\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>a wallet\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em> before. <\/span>Click the\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Create New Wallet button.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To receive Bitcoin, click the\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Receive\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong> tab then copy your Bitcoin address and give it to the person who wants to send you Bitcoin.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Where should I store the 12 seed words that Electrum provides?<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
It’s best to avoid saving seed words on digital devices such as laptops, cellphones and the like. <\/span>Especially if it’s not encrypted. <\/span>Save it on paper\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>offline.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
This will reduce the possibility of your seed being discovered by irresponsible people which will result in the loss of your Bitcoin.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
However, if you want to save it digitally, use an application that encrypts the data we save. <\/span>An example is\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Bitwarden<\/span><\/span> .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
Bitwarden is actually a\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>password<\/span><\/span><\/em> manager application . <\/span>However, it can also be used to store notes safely.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
You can use the notes feature to save your seeds in this application. <\/span>But once again, I recommend using the first option, namely saving it offline\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>on\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em> paper (or other similar media).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
I accidentally deleted Electrum, my computer is lost\/damaged, how do I recover my Bitcoins?<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
So, this is the function of the 12 seed words that you saved earlier. <\/span>Download and reinstall Electrum on\u00a0 your <\/span><\/span>laptop<\/span><\/span> \u00a0, then enter the 12 seed words in Electrum.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
