Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship is a Swiss scholarship program opened by the Swiss Government for international students who wish to continue higher education at the doctoral or post-doctoral level as well as international students who wish to do research in Switzerland ( non-degree research students).
Scholarship Requirements
To apply for this scholarship, some of the general requirements that must be met include:
- Have completed Master’s education for applicants for Doctoral study programs and Research study programs
- Have completed Doctoral education for Post-Doctoral study program applicants
- Maximum age of 35 years for applicants for Doctoral study programs and Research study programs (there is no age limit for applicants for Post-Doctoral study programs)
- Include a research proposal that is equipped with a research timeframe ( timeframe )
- It is mandatory to include a letter of support and a Professor’s CV at the destination university in Switzerland
Scholarship Coverage
Recipients of this scholarship are entitled to the following things:
- Monthly stipend of 1920 CHF (23,040 CHF per year) for Doctoral and Research study program applicants
- Monthly stipend of 3500 CHF (42000 CHF annually) for Post-Doctoral study program applicants
- An accommodation allowance of 300 CHF is given 1 (one) time
- Health Insurance
- Cost of flights back to the country of origin
2. Excellence Scholarship and Opportunity Programme di ETH Zurich
The next Swiss scholarship is the Excellence Scholarship and Opportunity Program given by ETH Zurich, one of the best universities in the world and Switzerland, for international students who are interested in continuing their higher education at the Masters level.
Scholarship Requirements
To apply for this scholarship, some of the general requirements needed include:
- Graduated from the Bachelor level with very good results (in the Top 10% for the Bachelor level)
- Include a telephone number that can be contacted in the CV, considering that the selection process can be done by telephone
- Have good English proficiency by showing an English language test score such as IELTS of at least 7.0 or TOEFL iBT of at least 100 or C1 Advanced score that is no more than 2 (two) years old.
- In addition to the English language test, applicants can also submit German language test results such as the Goethe-Zertifikat C1, TestDaF, and other equivalent tests.
Scholarship Coverage
This Swiss scholarship covers the following:
- Tuition fee waiver
- Living and study allowance of 12,000 CHF per semester
