Chevening Scholarship

The Chevening Scholarship  is a UK Masters degree scholarship program opened by the British Government for international students who are interested in continuing their Masters level education at various universities in England. 

Scholarship Requirements

To apply for this scholarship, several requirements are needed, including:

  1. Have completed Bachelor level education which is equivalent to a  2:1 Honors Degree  in England
  2. Have work experience of at least 2 (two) years or equivalent to 2800 working hours
  3. Register in 3 (three) different study programs in the UK and receive  an unconditional offer  from one of the study programs before the set deadline
  4. Willing to return to their country of origin for at least 2 (two) years after completing their studies.

Scholarship Coverage

This scholarship covers the following things:

  1. Tuition fee
  2. Monthly allowance
  3. PP flight fee
  4. Arrival allowance
  5. Return allowance
  6. Visa processing fee
  7. Travel expenses to attend a Chevening event in England

 

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The next UK Masters degree scholarship program is the  Gates Cambridge Scholarship program  offered by  the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation  to international students from outside the UK who wish to pursue higher education at the postgraduate level, including Masters, at the University of Cambridge .

Scholarship Requirements

To get this scholarship, several requirements are needed, including:

  1. Nationals from outside the UK
  2. Be enrolled in one of the full-time Masters programs at Cambridge University , except for the Master of Business (MBA), Master of Finance (MFin), MASt  and  MBBChir Clinical Studies  programs  .
  3. Already have an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a scale of 4.0
  4. Have English language skills as evidenced by the results of an English language test, according to the requirements of each study program.

Scholarship Coverage

Recipients of this scholarship program are entitled to get the following:

  1. Tuition fee
  2. Living allowance of £18,744 for 12 months
  3. PP economy aircraft costs
  4. Visa processing fee
  5. Health insurance costs
  6. An academic development fee ranging from £500 – £2000, which can be used towards attending conferences or other classes
  7. Family benefits up to £10,944 for 1 (one) child and £15,612 for 2 or more children.

Regular Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP).

Another English Masters scholarship program that you can try is the LPDP scholarship program provided by the Government of Indonesia to Indonesian citizens who are interested in continuing their education at the postgraduate level, including Masters, to many of the best tertiary institutions around the world, including the UK.

  2. Maximum age 35 years
  3. Have a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
  4. Have good English language skills as evidenced by showing a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 60, a minimum PTE Academic of 58 or a minimum IELTS of 6.5
  5. Have a letter of recommendation from a community leader or academic
